There are 58 total pieces cast in resin: six skeleton keys, one set of lungs, butterflies, mandalas, flowers of all kinds, a cross, and many other symbols to visually collect.

Detail 1: Two polymer butterflies, four polymer flowers, and one polymer mandala. String, nylon rope, and velvet ribbons.

Detail 2: Two polymer flowers set in resin, two polymer mandalas set in resin, and one polymer butterfly. Gold and velvet gold ribbons.

Detail 3: Six polymer flowers set in resin, one polymer mandala set in resin, and one polymer butterfly on gold ribbon.

Detail 4: French molding Stucco 3d effect, polymer sculpture set in resin. One of the most beautiful embellishments in any home, crown moldings have a rich history that dates back generations. In this painting, I placed Ms. Gorman in front of 'The People's House.' This detail is representative of the people: worthy of respect, dignified, and regal. The red in the molding is representative of the five lives lost during the insurrection.

Detail 5: A polymer butterfly carrying across the dome of the the Capital, one white flower, weighing double the butterflies weight. As it climbs higher, it shares one white flower, representing peace, and The Hill We Climb to preserve our democracy.

Detail 6: This image is of an abstract outline of a ship which references the slaves brought to the Americas. In the background, an American flag, horizontal lines representing the American flag. One polymer butterfly, one resin flower set in blue to represent democracy, and one set of angels wings set in resin polymer. The wings represent the lives lost on durithe insurrection. The position of Ms. Gormans hand is representative of a mudra called ARDHA PARIGHASANA with ARDHA PATAKA MUDRA
This pose symbolizes your ability to bridge differences and distances and links the spiritual to the material. “May I be a bridge for those who feel separate from you, Divine Mother. May I provide peace to others with my words and comfort to others with my actions.

Detail 7: One large butterfly set in resin-wing span is 3 inches. Smaller butterfly is 1 inch. One mandala set in white ink resin and one set of angel wings with a 7 manadalas set in polymers. The skeleton keys seen here will be explained in the detail image of the keys.

Detail 8: The image is of the January 6th, 2021, Capitol Insurrection. The image shows both political sides equally with a metal fence in between. The caution tape holds a question in reference to Amanda Gorman's poem The Hill We Climb: "If only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it." The question CAN U is read down the right side of the painting. Can we all be brave enough to be it. This is framed in a crime scene do not cross yellow tape.

Detail 9: Due to police brutality, systemic racism, and the death of Mr. Floyd, among too many others. I saw the crime scene do not cross tape hundreds of times by the end of 2020. Crime scene tape began to be used in the 1960s.
Yellow tape is the boundary between one world and another. Law and crime. Public and private. Allowed and not allowed. Even, to some extent, the past and the present. Crime scenes are sealed off by yellow tape to preserve them. This gives us the sense that something that happened in the past can be forcibly held there. Police tape is a means of keeping people safe from undefined harm and protecting evidence. It is an assertion of power by the state. It is flimsy. It is absolute.

Detail 10: Sewn into the golden ribbon are 6 skelton keys, one set of lungs, and , weaving up and down, 4 sizes of polymer mandalas set in resin, and one flower set in blue resin.
Skeleton Key: Skeleton keys symbolize “access to” something, whether it be abstract, as in keys to a city, or actual, keys to your home. They are often thought to symbolize the key to one's heart, the key to success, or the key to “unlocking the door” to whatever it is one wishes to attain.
In this case, the keys represent the date as well as a representation of having "The People's Home" violated.

Detail 11: Here we have a clear view of the pair of angel wings representing Amanda Gorman's home, Los Angeles, the City of Angels. It is my home town, and it represent the loss of my father who died days earlier due to COVID-19 complications.

Detail 12: The American Flag. The stripes represent the original 13 Colonies and the stars represent the 50 states of the union. The colors of the flag are symbolic: red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice. All things were not present the day of the insurrection.

Detail 13: Three mandalas set in resin, two polymer butterflies, one polymer cross, and one flower set in resin in the palm of Amanda Gorman's hand. I use gold velvet ribbon throughout the painting. Award-winning poet Amanda Gorman said the ring she wore while reading her poem at President Biden’s Inauguration was gifted to her by Oprah Winfrey and depicted a caged bird in honor of the late poet Maya Angelou.
The right hand position mudra: here Ms. Gorman's hand is raised in such a way that the mudra, or position of the hand, represents fearlessness or the Abhaya Mudra.

Detail 14:
One two inch butterfly, velvet ribbion, 3 polymer flowers. The two roses represent Amanda Gorman and her twin. Yes, she is a twin and her sister is represented in this painting. The flower hanging above the two roses is reprenstative of their mother, as is the butterfly. Butterflies are deep and powerful representations of life. Butterflies are not only beautiful, but also have mystery, symbolism and meaning and are a metaphor representing spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope and life.

Detail 15:
AMANDA / A MANDA LA
In this detail we see 9 mandala's. The number 9 in Buddhism is considered auspicious and is my way of weaving in what is needed spiritually. Because the number 9 is a powerful number with its strength established in its strong affinity for spiritual enlightenment. It is also the strongest number with special traits that allow it to retain its form when multiplied or reduced by another number. ... Number 9 is a symbol of completeness of God and also a symbol of finality.
A mandala is a symbolic picture of the universe. It can be a painting on a wall or scroll, created in coloured sands on a table, or a visualisation in the mind of a very skilled adept. ... The mandala's purpose is to help transform ordinary minds into enlightened ones and to assist with healing.
In detail 15 we see the blue cast resin flower which is approximately 1 inch wide, and across the other side is a cross set in resin to represent the spiritual guidance needed to accomplish peace.
